La torre Vlooyberg parece ser una escalera hacia el cielo. Mide 11,28 metros de altura, 20 metros de largo, pesa 13 toneladas y descansa sobre un pedestal de hormigón macizo. Se sostiene gracias a 12 cables de 35 metros que están anclados en la montaña. El revestimiento de acero Corten es un guiño a la arenisca rica en hierro en el subsuelo. Al subir los 55 escalones, te encuentras a más de 90 metros sobre el nivel del mar. En días despejados, a la izquierda se pueden ver las torres de refrigeración de Vilvoorde y a la derecha los pozos mineros de Beringen. La torre Vlooyberg fue utilizada como decorado en la serie Cuatro Callboys.
