En el parque Sint-Arnoldus en Tiegem, al lado de la gran capilla de Sint-Arnoldus, también hay una capilla de roca, un púlpito de piedra y una antigua cueva de ermitaño. Antes, también había tienditas de souvenirs aquí.
Encima de una pequeña colina, está esta cruz de madera.
En el siglo XV y más tarde, se trasladaron reliquias de Sint-Arnoldus a Tiegem, primero a la iglesia parroquial. Solo en el siglo XIX la veneración se trasladó al bosque de Holdenbroek, rápidamente apodado "bosque de la capilla". Allí había un manantial y una capilla. En 1817 llegó la pequeña capilla de St-Arnoud que todavía está en pie.
En 1860 se inició la construcción de la gran capilla y más tarde del lugar de peregrinación.
