Vamos a dar un paseo junto a la Waerevaart en Gistel. El año pasado se llevó a cabo una intervención en el marco del GNOP, el 'Plan de Desarrollo Natural Municipal'.
Ha habido mucho trabajo previo antes de que se pudieran iniciar las obras, pero el año pasado finalmente llegó el momento. La Waerevaart se amplió y la orilla se ajustó desde un punto de vista natural. Una orilla suave con juncos no solo purificará el agua, sino que también se convertirá en un hermoso hábitat de cría para aves ribereñas y acuáticas raras y en un lugar ideal para que los peces desoven.
