Description

La producción de hop y cerveza están inextricablemente vinculadas. En este lugar estaba la cervecería Goossens. La cervecería existía ya en el siglo XVIII y siguió activa hasta 1928. El último cervecero, Camille Goossens, era además el alcalde del pueblo.

Durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, el ocupante alemán confiscó el cobre de la cervecería, incluyendo las calderas de elaboración. Tras un breve reinicio, la producción se detuvo definitivamente. Desde 2017 se ha transformado en Hof Den Tuitelaar.
