En el número de agosto de la revista mensual Wetterse Kwets apareció una ruta en bicicleta que sigue lo más posible los límites del municipio de Wetteren. La ruta en bicicleta comienza en el transbordador de Schellebelle y termina en el mismo transbordador pero al otro lado del Escalda. Hay cuatro paradas para reforzar el ser interior donde se ofrece una bebida gratis con los cupones que se imprimen junto a la ruta en bicicleta, ya sea con o sin una comida.
