En el área natural de Kolkerven, el Laambeek serpentea entre praderas y landas de heno, junto a bosques y estanques. Las landas de heno, delimitadas por muros de madera, son relicarios del paisaje de siglos pasados. Históricamente, este paisaje cerrado es muy interesante, pero también en términos ecológicos, esta área a pequeña escala tiene mucho que ofrecer.
