Su víctima se ve obligada a cargarlo toda la noche en su espalda. Según la leyenda, había una valiente mujer en Wichelen que arrojó un paño en la boca del monstruo. Al día siguiente, se podía identificar a uno de los sirvientes como Kludde por las fibras entre sus dientes.
