Cuando visites el Castillo de Wartburg, definitivamente deberías buscar la famosa mancha del Diablo. Es una mancha de tinta en la pared. Se dice que Lutero arrojó su tintero al Diablo porque este lo mantenía alejado de su trabajo de traducción.
La mancha se está desvaneciendo debido a los muchos dedos que la frotan. Lutero se escondía aquí en el siglo XVI y tradujo aquí el Nuevo Testamento.
