El castillo de Kransberg es un castillo en el distrito de Kransberg de la ciudad de Usingen, en el distrito de Hochtaunus de Hesse, a unos 30 kilómetros al norte de Frankfurt del Meno y a unos 50 kilómetros al noreste de Wiesbaden.
En la zona ya existía desde hace mucho tiempo un llamado tribunal de campo, que fue mencionado en documentos ya en el siglo VII. Se encontraba a solo unos 500 m en línea recta del lugar del castillo actual, en una colina donde todavía hoy se erige una capilla. En el siglo XI se operó una sencilla instalación defensiva en la zona del actual castillo, probablemente en el mismo lugar estratégico.
