Esta corta etapa del Altmarkrundkurs nos lleva de la ciudad más antigua de Altmark, la ciudad hanseática de Stendal, a la más joven, la ciudad de Tangerhütte, que recibió su nombre en el siglo XX debido a la fundición de hierro.
Se pasa de las impresionantes construcciones de ladrillo de la ciudad hanseática de Stendal a través del alegre paisaje de Altmark y las áreas de llanura de Uchte y Elbe hasta Tangerhütte, una ciudad industrial cuyo pasado en la fundición de hierro todavía es palpable hoy en día. El parque salvaje en Weißewarte (actualmente cerrado) es un maravilloso destino intermedio, antes de que nos dejemos impresionar por el Nuevo Castillo y su parque paisajístico en Tangerhütte.
La etapa nos lleva por el bien señalizado Altmarkrundkurs a través de Demker hasta Weißewarte. Desde Weißewarte, solo quedan unos pocos kilómetros hasta la entrada del pueblo en Tangerhütte. Recomendamos salir del Altmarkrundkurs en dirección al sur hacia el Nuevo Castillo y el parque en Tangerhütte.
El Altmarkrundkurs está muy bien señalizado y se puede recorrer sin peligros.
Una buena bicicleta y algo de beber.
