La sección de aproximadamente 41 km del Europaradweg comienza en Bad Belzig en un terreno sorprendentemente montañoso. En el centro del parque natural Hoher Fläming en Raben hay, además de la tienda regional y una interesante exposición permanente, un punto de servicio R1. Siguiendo la ruta hacia el sur, se une el Vorfläming de Roßlau-Wittenberg. El destino es la ciudad de Lutero Wittenberg con su casco antiguo lleno de experiencias.
El Europaradweg R1 transcurre en esta sección principalmente por bien desarrolladas y asfaltadas vías ciclables. Entre Berkau y la ciudad de Lutero Wittenberg, se circula por caminos de grava consolidados. Típico de Fläming, el trayecto es bastante ondulado, pero no hay fuertes ascensos.
En el camino se encuentran varias áreas de descanso al borde de los campos y bosques.
A partir de Berkau, el trazado del Europaradweg R1 está marcado con señalizaciones especiales en el suelo (logo R1).
