El inicio de la caminata es la iglesia parroquial de San Cristóbal en el recinto del monasterio en el distrito de Herzebrock. La ruta comienza atravesando el Bosque de Boland y continúa a lo largo de praderas y campos. En el camino, puede reponer fuerzas en la granja de patatas Wöstmann con comida en la tienda de la granja, antes de comenzar la segunda etapa de la ruta. La caminata termina nuevamente en el recinto del monasterio.
