Lo especial de la colonia de funcionarios es el expresionismo de ladrillo. Una forma de diseño que surgió principalmente en Alemania en los años 1920. Los ladrillos se colocaron de manera precisa en patrones para dar vida a la fachada del edificio. Al mismo tiempo, esto da lugar a casas individuales que se ven todas diferentes. Así que en la colonia de funcionarios no hay ninguna casa que sea igual a otra.
Durante un recorrido guiado por la colonia de funcionarios, aprenderá datos interesantes, históricos y humorísticos. La asociación Niederrhein, sección local de Kamp-Lintfort e.V. ofrece el recorrido guiado “Los 'funcionarios' de la mina y cómo vivían” en los siguientes domingos:
