Benagéber es un municipio de la Comunidad Valenciana, España. Está situado en la provincia de Valencia, en la comarca de Los Serranos y forma parte de la Mancomunidad del Alto Turia. Contaba con una población censada de 180 habitantes en 2020 .[2]
El nombre de Benagéber es de claro origen árabe. El primer elemento es fácilmente identificable, y proviene de بن «hijo» o بني , «hijos»; ,[3] aunque también podría derivarse del árabe بناء , «construcción, casa».[4] La identificación del segundo elemento es, sin embargo, bastante más insegura, aunque podría provenir del nombre propio جابر ,[4] significando de ese modo «casa o hijos de Yábir».[5]
