La Plaza Es Born es la principal plaza de la ciudad y antigua plaza de armas. En ella encontramos edificios como; el Ayuntamiento, antiguo real alcázar, edificado sobre un castillo musulmán; el Obelisco de 22 metros de altura situado en el centro de la plaza fue construido a mediados del siglo XIX en conmemoración del asalto turco de 1558; el mirador, situado encima de las murallas del siglo XVII y desde donde se observa el puerto; el teatro del Born construido en 1873; el Palacio Torresaura y el Palacio Salort de principios del siglo XVIII; y la Iglesia de Sant Francesc.
