Esta plaza es la Plaza Josep Pla donde se halla el Teatro Municipal. En el centro de la plaza hay el monumento de Josep Ministral dedicado a Josep Pla, escritor muy vinculado a la ciudad de Figueres que visitaba con mucha frecuencia y de la que elogió las excelencias de su gastronomía.
La plaza está dominada por el edificio del Teatro Municipal, obra modernista del arquitecto Llorenç Ros y Cuesta construido en 1914.
