El SS America fue un lujoso trasatlántico construido en 1940 por la compañía estadounidense United States Lines. Fue el mayor buque de pasajeros de los Estados Unidos de su tiempo. Tuvo muchos nombres desde su construcción hasta su naufragio en 1994. Con 49 metros menos de eslora que el Titanic, fue uno de los barcos más grandes y lujosos de Norteamérica.
