Etapa 5 (80km) de Atienza a Sigüenza; es la primera etapa que forma parte del tramo de ruta Tierras de Frontera, la parte de 252 km del Camino que en la época del Cid (siglo 11) formaba la frontera entre el norte cristiano y el sur morisco de España. Esta parte de la ruta discurre en gran parte hacia el este desde Atienza hasta Calatayud.
En línea recta, la distancia de Atienza a Sigüenza es de 30km, pero el Camino hace un amplio desvío. La etapa parece un poco menos difícil que el día anterior. A excepción de los últimos 16km hasta Sigüenza no hay subidas largas. Sube y baja todo el día. En el camino pequeños pueblos, sólo en Jadraque hay comodidades.
