Siguiendo el curso del río: de la montaña a la meseta.
Rodeada de agua y montañas, la villa de Vinuesa asoma entre bosques de pinos albares al norte del pantano de la Cuerda del Pozo, al este de la comarca de Pinares y al pie de los Picos de Urbión y de la Sierra de La Cebollera. El valle, a más de mil metros de altitud, está bañado por abundantes ríos y arroyos, como el Duero aún naciente, el Revinuesa o el Remonicio.
