Hendaya es una comuna fronteriza francesa del departamento de Pirineos Atlánticos. Se sitúa en el territorio de la histórica provincia de Labort en la región del País Vasco Francés, junto a la frontera con España y a 21 km de San Sebastián. El nombre en euskera significa Bahía Grande.[6] En la actualidad, Hendaya forma parte de la Comunidad de aglomeración del País Vasco, organismo creado en 2017 con sede en Bayona .
