La masacre de Ballymurphy consistió en una serie de incidentes ocurridos entre el 9 y el 11 de agosto de 1971, en los que el 1er Batallón del Regimiento de Paracaidistas del Ejército Británico mató a once civiles en Ballymurphy , como parte de la Operación Demetrius . Los incidentes a veces han sido llamados el «Domingo Sangriento de Belfast», una referencia al asesinato de civiles por el mismo batallón en Derry unos meses más tarde, incidente que ha sido llamado el «Domingo Sangriento».[1]
