La estación de tren de Penrith y hacia Great Salkeld, para dirigirse hacia el norte por el lado oeste del valle de Eden a través de Lazonby antes de girar al sur hacia Appleby pasando por Armathwaite, Kirkoswald, Little Salkeld, Langwathby y Skirwith. Visita Appleby antes de cruzar las colinas hacia King's Meaburn, Great Strickland y regresar a Penrith. Accidentado, pero siempre encantador. Muchos buenos pubs y cafeterías a lo largo del camino, pero el Strickland Arms en Great Strickland es muy recomendable y muy amigable para ciclistas.
