Campania es una de las veinte regiones que conforman la República Italiana. Su capital y ciudad más poblada es Nápoles. Está ubicada en Italia meridional, limitando al norte con Molise, al este con los montes Apeninos que la separan de Apulia, al sureste con Basilicata, al sur y oeste con el mar Tirreno y al noroeste con el Lacio. Con 5 869 029 habitantes en 2013 es la tercera región más poblada del país —por detrás de Lombardía y Lacio— y con 429 hab/km², la más densamente poblada.[1][2] El archipiélago de las islas Flégreas y Capri son también administrativamente parte de la región.
