Este antiguo abrevadero y lavadero restaurado y convertido ahora en fuente se encuentra en Piazza Nettun o en Scopello.
En la antigua tradición agrícola , en el 'bevai' se daba de beber a los animales, se sacaba agua y se lavaba la ropa. También eran un lugar para reunirse e interactuar.
La restauración fue parte de un proyecto para restaurar y mejorar los antiguos bebederos y fuentes en el programa de desarrollo rural de Sicilia. Además del abrevadero de Scopello, también se están restaurando el abrevadero 'Merla' en Provincialeweg 2, así como dos fuentes en el centro de la ciudad: el 'Acqua Santa' en Via Segesta y el 'Cannolo Nuovo' en Via Quintino Sella en Castellamare.
