El Amstelveld es una plaza en el centro de Ámsterdam, entre el Reguliersgracht, Prinsengracht y la Kerkstraat, cerca de la Utrechtsestraat. La Amstelkerk, un edificio principalmente de madera, se encuentra en la plaza. La característica plantación consiste en 46 nogales de ala caucásicos.
En 1658 fue necesario ampliar Ámsterdam y se planeó una larga calle entre el Keizers- y el Prinsengracht. A lo largo de esta calle se crearon cuatro grandes espacios para nuevas iglesias. La calle fue llamada Kerkstraat y uno de esos espacios vacíos se convirtió en el Amstelveld.
