El Grand Hotel Amrâth Kurhaus de La Haya, a menudo llamado simplemente Kurhaus, es un gran hotel entre la plaza Gevers Deynootplein y el paseo marítimo a lo largo de la playa de Scheveningen. En 1818, Jacob Pronk fundó en la Verlengde Badhuisstraat un pabellón de madera con un balneario, cuya apertura fue el 15 de julio de ese año. En 1828, por iniciativa del alcalde, se construyó un 'baño municipal' mucho más grande en estilo clasicista, llamado Grand Hôtel des Bains, diseñado por el arquitecto de la ciudad Zeger Reyers. El baño municipal fue tan exitoso que en 1856 se decidió ampliarlo. En el período de 1884 a 1885 se construyó en el mismo lugar el Kurhaus. Después de un feroz incendio, fue reconstruido entre 1886 y 1887. Fue diseñado por los arquitectos alemanes Johann Friedrich Henkenhaf y Friedrich Ebert. De 1858 a 1882, François Gerard Abraham Gevers Deynoot fue alcalde de La Haya. La plaza frente al Kurhaus fue nombrada en su honor en 1891.
