El "Gran Lago" se formó en los años 60 del siglo XX debido a la extracción de arena para la construcción de nuevos barrios en las cercanías. Junto al agua se encuentra ahora el área recreativa Delfse Hout, que incluye un corral de ciervos, una granja infantil con área de juegos acuáticos, una playa y un camping. Hay varios senderos para bicicletas y paseos a través del área, así que siéntete libre de desviarte de la ruta GPX.
