La batalla del estuario del Escalda fue una serie de operaciones militares realizadas por el Primer Ejército canadiense, liderado por el teniente general Guy Simonds. La batalla se desarrolló en el norte de Bélgica y el suroeste de los Países Bajos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial desde el 2 de octubre hasta el 8 de noviembre de 1944.[1]
En el mes de septiembre de 1944, los Aliados necesitaban urgentemente limpiar ambas orillas del estuario del Escalda para abrir el puerto de Amberes a los barcos aliados y facilitar las tareas logísticas en sus líneas de aprovisionamiento, que en ese momento se extendían a lo largo de cientos de kilómetros desde Normandía al este hasta la Línea Sigfrido.[2]
