En el borde del Bosque de Vijlener, a una altura de aproximadamente 160 a 180 metros sobre el nivel del mar, se alza el pequeño pueblo de Camerig. Es el lugar perfecto para disfrutar de una vista impresionante del Valle de Geul, las Ardenas orientales y el norte de la Eifel. El paisaje que rodea Camerig ha sido reconocido con cinco estrellas por la Fundación de Naturaleza y Medio Ambiente. Camerig también es una buena ubicación para admirar hermosas casas de entramado de madera del siglo XVIII.
