Renesse es una aldea en la Punta de Schouwen en Schouwen-Duiveland en la provincia neerlandesa de Zelanda. Tenía 1.500 habitantes a 1 de enero de 2021. Hasta 1961, Renesse era un municipio independiente, y luego formó parte de Westerschouwen hasta 1997. Renesse se menciona por primera vez en 1244 como "Riethnesse". Se deriva de "riet" y "neus", que significa península. Los señores de Renesse formaban anteriormente un influyente linaje en Zelanda. En el siglo XIII, se construyó en Renesse el Castillo de Moermond. Uno de sus residentes más conocidos fue Jan van Renesse. El edificio actual adquirió su apariencia a través de una restauración en 1955.
