En Montferland se han encontrado muchas, a veces grandes piedras erráticas. Éstas llegaron desde Escandinavia con el glaciar durante la penúltima glaciación (Saalien, aproximadamente 238.000 – 126.000.000 años atrás). En Stokkum se desenterró una gran piedra (Berghse Kei) que ahora se puede ver a la entrada del castillo en ’s‑Heerenberg, en Hoch-Elten hay un ‘Findling’ y también hay una expuesta en el terreno de ’t Peeske cerca de Beek.
