El sendero le llevará a través de una distancia de 31 kilómetros por una zona espléndida en medio de la provincia de Utrecht. Debido a que las posibilidades de senderismo en esta región eran limitadas, la provincia tomó esta iniciativa en 2003. Esto ha dado lugar a una nueva ruta continua a lo largo del Kromme Rijn.
Gracias a los socios en este proyecto: Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden, municipio de Utrecht, Bunnik, Wijk bij Duurstede, Recreación de Medio Países Bajos y las partes en el proyecto de ordenación del territorio RAK Kromme Rijn.
