Dans cet itinéraire, nous suivons le ruisseau de Zwalm de son course intermédiaire jusqu'à sa source. Nous roulons vers le point inférieur de la Slijpstraat et suivons le ruisseau de Zwalm aussi près que possible. Pour cela, nous quittons plusieurs fois le chemin des mineurs qui court parallèlement au ruisseau de Zwalm afin de nous rapprocher davantage du ruisseau de Zwalm. Le véritable parcours du ruisseau de Zwalm commence à la course intermédiaire (forêt Cycling for Trees) à la fin de la Slijpstraat mentionnée et s'arrête à la source, juste à côté de Tenbergen (cours supérieur de Zwalm)...

Lors de cette balade, nous roulons à proximité du Bostmolen à Roborst et du Boembekemolen à Michelbeke, deux des cinq moulins de Zwalm...
