Romainmôtier-Envy est une commune suisse du canton de Vaud, située dans le district du Jura-Nord vaudois.
Elle fait partie de l'association Les Plus Beaux Villages de Suisse.
Romainmôtier-Envy tire son nom des deux précédentes communes Romainmôtier et Envy ayant fusionné. Romainmôtier tire son nom du latin Romanum monasterium signifiant monastère de saint Romain et désignant l'abbatiale du village. Quant à Envy, le nom est mentionné en 1216 sous la forme Envi. Le nom vient probablement du latin in via signifiant sur la route.
