Le col d’Ofen est situé dans le canton des Grisons et constitue le lien entre Zernez et Santa Maria Val Müstair. La hauteur du col est de 2 149 m et la longueur de la marche est de 35 km. Le nombre de virages serrés est plutôt limité pour un col de montagne de plus de 2 000 mètres d’altitude. Depuis Zernez, la route traverse d’abord des zones densément boisées avec peu de vue. Au-dessus de la limite des arbres, vous avez une bonne vue sur les montagnes sauvages brisées autour.
