Le dépôt de locomotives de Gießen était un important dépôt de locomotives de la Direction fédérale des chemins de fer de Francfort-sur-le-Main. Il était situé à environ 1400 m au sud de la gare de Giessen. Comme le dépôt est entouré de voies, il n’est accessible que par une passerelle piétonne ou par le train. En 1986, un total de 950 employés y travaillaient. Le hangar à locomotives et les maisons des domestiques sont un monument culturel protégé. Le hangar à locomotives a été fermé en 2003.
