La Dune du Pilat a été soumise à l’élection de l’une des 7 merveilles naturelles du monde. La Grote Duin est la plus grande dune de sable d’Europe. La dune mesure environ 500 mètres de large et 3 km de long. Son altitude varie de 100 à 117 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer.
