Gourgé est une commune du Centre-Ouest de la France située dans le département des Deux-Sèvres en région Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
La commune de Gourgé est traversée du sud au nord par un affluent de la Loire, le Thouet. Dans sa partie ouest, la commune est arrosée par le Cébron qui forme au nord-ouest, avec ses deux affluents la Raconnière et la Taconnière, la retenue du lac du Cébron.
