Issenheim est une commune française située dans l'aire d'attraction de Mulhouse et faisant partie de la collectivité européenne d'Alsace , en région Grand Est.
Issenheim se situe à une altitude moyenne de 250 m, au pied des collines sous-vosgiennes. Le ban communal s'étend sur une superficie d'environ 816 hectares et la Lauch le traverse d'Ouest en Est.
Le Oberwald est la forêt communale d'Issenheim. Elle s'étend au Sud-Ouest de la commune .
