Située en plein cœur du Pays de la Vallée de l’Aisne, cette nécropole française de la Grande Guerre, d'une surface de 36.400 m², édifiée en 1923, est la plus importante de Picardie. Elle contient 10.601 corps, dont 3.076 en ossuaires, provenant de cimetières militaires situés au sud-ouest de Soissons. On y trouve également les tombes d'un soldat russe, d’un danois et de soixante-seize victimes civiles françaises.
