Jardin Public - 1934 - Pierre.
La réalisation du jardin public est initiée par Henri Fauchet (1866-1937), maire de Sainte-Foy-La-Grande de 1926 à 1935. Acheté par la ville à la commune de Pineuilh au début du XXème siècle, le terrain traversé par le ruisseau du Rance, petit affluent de la Dordogne qui délimite la bastide à l'est, est dans un premier temps destiné à recevoir les décombres de la ville, afin de niveler le terrain. Il est ensuite canalisé. En 1932, le conseil municipal envisage de créer un jardin public à cet endroit.
