Le village de Hummelo est situé sur la N314 (Zutphen-Doetinchem). Il est connu notamment pour le domaine Enghuizen et pour le HCR 'De Gouden Karper' situé en face de l'église NH, l'un des plus anciens hôtels de l'Achterhoek.
Grâce à son environnement boisé, c'est un point de départ très choisi pour les sentiers de randonnée et les itinéraires à vélo.
