Paramount Pictures Corporation est l'une des plus grandes sociétés de production cinématographique. Elle est issue de la fusion en 1916 de la Famous Players, créée en 1912 par Adolph Zukor, avec la Jesse L. Lasky Feature Play Company et qui absorbent la Paramount Pictures Corporation une petite société fondée en 1914. C'est le plus ancien studio de cinéma américain encore en activité avec Universal Pictures. Filiale du conglomérat Viacom, son siège social se situe sur Melrose Avenue à Hollywood, en Californie au sein des Paramount Studios.
La Paramount Pictures voit le jour en 1912 avec la création du studio Famous Players in Famous Plays par Adolph Zukor. Cependant, c'est en 1916 que la Paramount est officiellement créée avec la fusion de la société de Zukor avec celle de Jesse L. Lasky, la Jesse L. Lasky Feature Play Company.
