Il pensionato saint Jean-Baptiste de la Salle fu costruito tra il 1896 e il 1898. Negli anni iniziali qui risiedevano solo studenti tedeschi. Nel 1914 fu aperto ai francofoni. Nel 1940 fu occupato dai nazisti e venne ospitato un gruppo della Hitlerjugend. Successivamente divenne un centro di accoglienza per i bambini dei prigionieri di guerra. L'8 gennaio 1945 l'edificio fu colpito da una bomba al fosforo. L'edificio è ora di proprietà privata ed è stato trasformato in appartamenti nel 1966. Il parco è stato acquistato dalla parrocchia di Grand-Halleux.
