Nel periodo austriaco (1713 - 1795) furono collocati dei confini in pietra arenaria a Overslag per risolvere una disputa tra l'ufficio di Axel e quello di Asseneder (1722). I confini sono vere e proprie opere d'arte e mostrano su entrambi i lati un medaglione con all'interno lo stemma del rispettivo paese. Per l'Austria, questo consiste in un'aquila a due teste che guarda in entrambe le direzioni con il becco aperto. Sotto c'è l'iscrizione Oostenryk. Dal lato olandese è raffigurato un leone in piedi e coronato con in un artiglio una spada curva, simbolo di giustizia, e nell'altro artiglio 7 frecce, simbolo delle sette Province Unite. Sotto c'è l'iscrizione Haar Hoog mogende. Con questo si intendono gli Stati Generali.
