L'area sorgiva del Koude Beek si trova nel comune di Hove. Originariamente, il ruscello aveva origine presso la chiesa di Hove, ma nel corso del tempo l'area sorgiva si è spostata di circa 100 metri verso la vicinanza del dominio del castello Fruithout.
Questa area di spazio aperto, che consisteva in campi e prati, è stata trasformata in un parco paesaggistico nel 2017. Un progetto nel quale i comuni di Hove e Boechout, l'associazione senza scopo di lucro Kempens Landschap e la provincia di Anversa hanno unito le forze. È stata realizzata, tra l'altro, una grande pozzetta per anfibi, il Koude Beek ha ricevuto un nuovo percorso meandrante e sono stati creati sentieri per passeggiate e biciclette. Sono stati piantati molti alberi e arbusti e per i bambini sarà allestita una grande collina da gioco. Il Koude Beek guadagna più spazio grazie all'allestimento, riducendo così il rischio di inondazioni a monte.
