Description

Oggi noto come "Castello de Bueren", detto anche "Castello di Kwatrecht", in passato conosciuto come "Goed Ter Elst". La prima menzione di "Goed Ter Elst" in un contratto di affitto risale al 1408. Nel 1571 descritto come "un aut casteel". Rappresentato da A. Sanderus come "'t Huys van den advot vender Burght op Quaadregt in 't land van Aalst”. Nel 1748 acquistato da François J.B. Baut che nel 1759 acquistò anche il vicino "Hof ter Camere". Alla fine del XVIII secolo venduto al conte Christoffel de Bueren, un colonnello dell'esercito austriaco da cui il castello prende anche il nome. Attualmente è ancora di proprietà di un diretto discendente, ovvero Anne-Marie Behaghel de Bueren, contessa d'Ansembourg. Il dominio del castello, per lo più circondato da fossati, di circa 10 ettari confina a sud-ovest con il Vuntbeek e il castello circondato da un fossato della precedente signoria "Te Chambre". Dal nord-est, lungo la strada di Bruxelles, parte l'alberata del castello parallela all'inizio della Kalverhagestraat e ora tagliata dalla linea ferroviaria Gent-Bruxelles.
