La località balneare di Schenkenzell si trova nel nord-ovest del distretto di Rottweil, nella Foresta Nera centrale, al confluente del piccolo Kinzig e del Kinzig, a un'altitudine compresa tra 340 e 800 metri.
Partendo da sud-ovest: Schiltach, Wolfach, Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach, Alpirsbach, Aichhalden. La città di Schiltach e il comune di Aichhalden si trovano anch'essi nel distretto di Rottweil. La città di Wolfach si trova nel distretto di Ortenau, mentre la città di Alpirsbach e il comune di Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach si trovano nel distretto di Freudenstadt.
