Gladenbach è una cittadina nel ovest della provincia di Marburg-Biedenkopf, in Hesse centrale. È stata premiata come località termale e centro di cura Kneipp ed è la seconda città della Hinterland hessiana.
La città di Gladenbach si trova su un'estensione orientale della Westerwald, che prende il nome dalla sua città centrale, il Gladenbacher Bergland, nel parco naturale Lahn-Dill-Bergland.
L'attuale area urbana coincide per lo più con l'area del "Tribunale Inferiore" dell'ufficio storico di Blankenstein. Il tribunale inferiore comprendeva la parte sud-est dell'ex provincia di Biedenkopf.
