La città di Aach non comprende ulteriori località. È nota per il Aachtopf, la sorgente più forte della Germania.
Aach si trova nell'Hegau, un'area di origine vulcanica tra il Lago di Costanza e il cantone svizzero di Sciaffusa. A nord, dietro il Danubio superiore, si estende l'Alb Schwabica. A pochi chilometri a est e sud-est si trovano i bracci del Lago di Costanza, il Lago di Überlingen e il Lago di Zeller. Il confine con la Svizzera si trova a circa 14 chilometri a sud-est.
